On the 17th of March 2023, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) published the European Commission’s request to declare that Hungary failed to fulfil its obligations under Article 260 (1) TFEU. The Commission argues that Hungary does not take all the necessary measures to comply with CJEU’s judgment in Commission v Hungary regarding the reception of applicants for international protection.
